CFM 2. Strategy Based Architecture of a Firm
This module provides introduces the concept of a strategic architecture of a firm. The strategic architecture has to align with underlying strategy of the firm.
After completing this module students will understand:
1. Difference in the strategic architecture that is required when competing for example on the basis of innovation, low cost, customer service, or quality.
2. How to use the reference model to architect appropriate structure to deliver the "strategic thrust" of the firm.
3. How to overlay the flows: information, skill, material, and money over the strategic architecture.
4. How to identify and eliminate "bottlenecks" and "bombs" interfering with the optimum performance of these flows.
