Organizational Alignment
Most, if not all, of business gurus advocate a piecemeal approach for achieving a business success.
Some try to make us believe that just by; a greater customer focus, raising quality, being “mean and lean” or competing on analytics, is the new prescription for success. This cannot be furthest from the truth. None of these, in isolation, is capable of delivering the expected results.
Instead....
.....the focus should be on the end-to-end alignment between the needs of the owners (investors) and the needs of the customers. This relationship is best modeled by the Podobas' Principle:
Level of Organizational Effectiveness
=
Effective Framework of Organizational Processes
*
Efficiency of each process within that framework
Anything else will fail !!!
